Hey guys, this is heather from healthyveganrecipes.net. Today, I’m going to show you my healthy salad dressing recipe – a whole food and raw salad dressing that you can use to dress a nice light salad and make it delicious on a raw food diet or if you’re doing a cleansing diet, this is also an excellent thing to use.

I’ve been talking all about cleanses over at my nutrition blog – healthyeatingstartshere.com. Today’s healthy salad dressing recipe is perfect for a period of cleanses. So let’s get started.

Nut and seed butters make an excellent basis for whole foods salad dressings as oppose to oils, but they are one step removed from the whole seed and there often roasted, so if you really concerned about a hundred percent raw and the roasted nut butters are not core fried.

So another option is to take whole seeds, which also mean they’ll be fresher. And this are actually sun flower seeds that I have soaked over night, and then allowed leaved to sprout for a couple of days and what happens is the puddle pointed tail on the seed will just get a little bit longer.

They won’t fully sprout without their shells but you can sprout just a little bit so there more digestible and even just soaked can remove overnight can really helped with that.

So I’m going to use the sunflower seed as the base of my dressing and I’m going to put those in the blender. And I should mention that also dehydrated this sunflower seeds after soaking and sprouting them, to get them nice and dry so that you’ll keep. If you eat them right away that’s fine, but if you leave them wet they’ll get bad pretty quick.

To this I’m going to add a little bit of lemon juice, fresh lemons are also excellent – this thing about using an orange but I don’t want to use the whole orange and so go with the lemon juice and then a little bit of water. You don’t want too much because you don’t want this to be too runny, it is either be salad dressing so it doesn’t have to be quite like nut butter.

And I’m going to season this with some oregano, so I can put that in that as well. You can wait til after you prefer – and this kind of food a couple pinches and there stir, I cannot let them more lately. But oregano is the kind that I have right now is very fresh so very flavorful.

So give them a blend, because sun flower seeds have a tendency to fly around yelling to scrape down the sides every sp often and usually the lid.

I just keep adding a little bit of water. Mixed some more seeds if you need to or best better in larger quantities until you had fairly smooth and it doesn’t want to be perfectly smooth, but I really like it. So things are looking pretty nice and smooth in here and you want to get with a taste – very nice, quite lemony.

As I was saying as the orange is a sweeter softer flavor. Why were doing whole food salad dressing for cleanse because oils with there process were going to create toxins. And so when your doing it cleanser detox, you should really focus on staying whole foods.

And that’s as whole as whole possible. So seed as oppose to seed on that butters, and whole foods for sure over oils. So this dressing is all set to go, I going to put it on a top of a salad, carrots tomatoes and broccoli.

So there it is my lovely salad with sunflower seed dressing, I wan to go get some lettuce and realize I don’t have any, but luckily I have some beautiful sprouts that Phil grows in our apartment and kind of dress with the sun flower seed dressing looks beautiful taste even better.
