We use this method to make oatmeal on the road. It's so easy to make and it's a great start to the day. You can even take it in a travel mug. Of course, you can add whatever fruit and nuts you prefer.

Best Oatmeal Recipe

Prep Time

10 min. Soaking time: 1-8 hours (overnight)
Time from start to eating: 1:10 – 8:10
Makes enough for 2.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup ground flax seeds
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup

Directions

  1. Mix together the oats, flax and walnuts in a bowl.
  2. Pour enough water to cover, and leave them to soak 1 hour, or overnight. In the morning, stir in the maple syrup and blueberries.
